I have been a translator for much of my adult life. I received a B.A. in Russian and an M.A. and Ph.D. in English from the University of Chicago. I have many published translations, mostly from Russian but a few from French and German. I have also had considerable editorial experience, including experience spent preparing manuscripts for publication.

I have been an an instructor of English at the college level and have done tutoring in Russian and English.
