Vinice Mabansag is a baby girl born in Manila who is selected as the symbolic eight billionth person on Earth[1] by Philippines’ Commission on Population and Development.[2]
Personal life
She was born on November 15, 2022, in Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital at 1:29 AM.[3] According to the physician Romeo Bituin, her childbirth was a normal spontaneous delivery.[4][5] She was chosen by the United Nations for the population milestone.[6] Her parents are Alvin Mabansag, who was 29 years old at the time of her birth,[5] and Margarette Mabansag, who was 28 years old.[7] Upon her birth, the Philippines' population commission gave a welcome cake to her,[8] and she was welcomed by all nurses of the hospital.[9] CNN Philippines also gave her a welcome.[citation needed]
