The Wandering Salamander (Aneides vagrans) is a species of salamander in the Plethodontidae family. It is found in Canada and the United States. Its natural habitat is temperate forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.

The Wandering Salamander lives its whole life in a Giant Redwood. It may spend its whole life in one tree, never having walked the ground beneath the tree. The Wandering Salamander has no lungs or gills, and breathes through its skin. For this reason it must keep its skin wet all the time.
