Račice-Pístovice is a municipality in Vyškov District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,300 inhabitants.
Račice-Pístovice lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) west of Vyškov, 21 km (13 mi) north-east of Brno, and 199 km (124 mi) south-east of Prague.
Administrative parts
[edit]The municipality is made up of the villages of Račice and Pístovice.
History
[edit]The first written mention about Račice is from 1227 and about Pístovice is from 1375. Račice and Pístovice were merged into one municipality in 1960.[2]
