Refractory Bricks[edit]

Refractory brick, fire brick or fire clay brick is a mix of particular material called refractory material which is used in lining the interiors of fireplaces, kiln and ovens. Refractory bricks are made in the form of block are exclusively prepared to withstand high temperature and for grater efficiency it has low thermal conductivity. Fire brick or refractory bricks keep heat inside the furnace it lines while temperature outside of the container remains comparatively cool thus refractory bricks are commonly used in applications with extreme chemical and mechanical stresses.

Refractory or Fire Clay Brick Are Widely Used In[edit]

1. In Furnaces 2. Glass Industry 3. Steel Industries 4. Machine and Chemical Related Industries

Characteristics of Refractory Bricks[edit]

1. Reduce large amount of heat 2. It can control high pressure and temperature 3. Are made from finest quality of materials

A Wide Range Of Refractory Bricks Are Available So before going for any type of brick you must research that which brick will work for you the best …..

Types of Fire Brick[edit]

1. Medium Duty - Made of about 35 percent alumina and 50 percent silica, these bricks warm quickly and can insulate temperatures of up to 900 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. High Duty - These bricks contain over 50 percent alumina and can withstand temperatures above 1500 degrees Fahrenheit

3. Clay Brick - cannot withstand very high temperatures recommended for decoration on the outsides of fireplaces
