The North Texas Film Critics Association (NTFCA) is an American organization of broadcast, print, and online journalists from throughout the from the Dallas–Fort Worth area. Current members include independent and associated writers and film critics. The organization was founded in 2009.

Gary Murray Award[edit]
Gary Murray was a founding member of the NTFCA and served as its president from 2009 to 2016. He was killed in a hit-and-run on April 22, 2016. While leaving a dinner in Dallas, Murray was struck by an unknown vehicle at a crosswalk, which fled the scene[1]. The driver of the vehicle has yet to be found[2].
The yearly award to the best ensemble cast is given in his honor.
