I Can See Your Voice franchise |
Qui sait chanter? (English: Who can sing?)[1] is a Canadian television mystery music game show series catering in French language, based on the South Korean program I Can See Your Voice for the province of Quebec. Since the show's premiere on 13 September 2021,[2][3] it has aired two seasons on Noovo.
Gameplay[edit]
Format[edit]
Presented with a group of six "mystery singers" identified only by their occupation, a guest artist and contestant must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of several rounds.[a] At the end of the game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists.
The contestant must eliminate one mystery singer at the end of each round, receiving a petty cash[a] if they eliminate a bad singer. At the end of the game, the contestant may either end the game and keep the money they had won in previous rounds, or risk it for a chance to win CA$25,000 by correctly guessing whether the last remaining mystery singer is good or bad.
Rounds[edit]
Lip sync rounds[edit]
Each mystery singer performs a lip sync to a song; good singers mime to a recording of their own, while bad singers mime to a recording by someone else. At the conclusion of performances, the contestant eliminates one mystery singer from each group.
- Lip sync (French: Relecture)
Evidence round[edit]
- Access code (French: Code d'accès)
- The guest artist and contestant are presented with a video package containing possible clues by one of the mystery singers.[b][c]
Rehearsal round[edit]
- Secret studio (French: Studio secret)
- The guest artist and contestant are presented with video from a recording session by one of the mystery singers, but pitch-shifted to obscure their actual vocals.[b]
Interrogation round[edit]
- Interrogation (French: Interrogatoire)
- The guest artist and contestant may ask questions to the remaining mystery singers. Good singers are required to give truthful responses, while the bad singers must lie.[b][c]
- Notes
