Gyula or Gyalu?[edit]

"Gyula" and "Gyalu" are two different places. Gyula is a town in the south-eastern part of the Great Hungarian Plain, while Gyalu/Gilău is a village in Transylvania. So was the treaty signed in Gyula or Gyalu? (7 Google Books hits [1] vs 6 Google Books hits [2]) KœrteFa {ταλκ} 07:51, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I was mislead by the name too. Maybe this is the old name of the settlement. Or it may be a confusion. AvramIancu48 (talk) 08:03, 17 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
According to these sources [3][4], it was the Transylvanian Gyalu (and not the town of Gyula). KœrteFa {ταλκ} 06:25, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I am going to move the page, because it is quite confusing.Fakirbakir (talk) 21:40, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

misleading text in the article[edit]

1, The diet of Torda did not accept this treaty, 2, there was only one new thing in this treaty, the Turkish occupation in central Hungary. 3, They tried to renegotiate orders of Treaty of Nagyvárad 4, They did not negotiate about "Principality of Transylvania", they were discussing about King John Sigismund's possessions. According to this source [6] (sorry, it is in Hungarian), a condition of the treaty was that Ferdinand must recapture Buda, which did not happen. So, even if the diet had accepted the treaty, it would have been still invalid because of this condition. On the other hand, this clause of the treaty should be confirmed by some scientific work (since the source above is just a website of a high-school, so it may not count as a reliable source). Here is a book [7] (also in Hungarian, sorry) published by the Institute of History, Hungarian Academy of Sciences which claims the same: the whole treaty had a condition that Ferdinand must recapture Buda... KœrteFa {ταλκ} 06:34, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Then please update the article according to these new information AvramIancu48 (talk) 06:36, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
