Colossus class[edit]

We have a problem with Colosus class BS.

Are they Ironclads or Pre-Dread.?

They are not listed on RN ironclad list, and it says that ships of this class were called "Battleships", rather than ironclad for a first time in history.

That means we should list them here...

What others think?

Undiscussed move[edit]

The ed17, just as with List of dreadnought battleships of the Royal Navy, I do not agree with your move of this list and so have reverted it in accordance with WP:RMUM. The page's current name maintains WP:CONSISTENCY with other lists of its kind. Kind regards, Cavalryman V31 (talk) 12:23, 17 May 2018 (UTC).[reply]

Renamed ships[edit]

In light of the recent back and forth about Revenge/Redoutable, I wonder if we should discuss whether subsequent names are appropriate. In my view, I don't think they should be included in the tables. In general, I think tables should be kept as trim as possible, so we avoid obscuring more important information with less useful clutter. A number of these ships were renamed later in their careers, and in most cases, they did very little under the new names; Indus II more or less sat in port during the three years she held that name, and I doubt anyone knows the ship by anything other than Victorious.
