The Skeptic Zone[edit]

Richard Saunders has stated more than once that The Skeptic Zone is not affiliated with the Australian Skeptics. This was most recently noted in his interview on the August 15, 2014 episode of Skeptically Challenged.[1]: 15:51 Obsidianspider (talk) 13:22, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I didn't know that. I'll change it and include a note to explain it. Nederlandse Leeuw (talk) 13:31, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sort order[edit]

I would like to propose a slight change to the way titles are sorted, so that the ones which start with "The" would exclude that from the sort. That is, I think it would be clearer if "The Skeptic Zone" was sorted under S for "Skeptic Zone, The".

I cannot find a particular MoS or comparable reference for this, but it seems to me that it would be similar to sorting a list of countries so that "The United States of America" comes under U, rather than T.

Thoughts? Comments? Pointers to relevant WP guidelines? --Gronk Oz (talk) 01:47, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Totally agree. Should not use "The" in alphabetization.RobP (talk) 02:24, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I changed a few dates to numeric only and still cannot get sort on date to work. Any ideas? RobP (talk) 17:08, 8 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

Are those notable? 177.102.216.72 (talk) 21:58, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Are host lists current or all inclusive lists?[edit]

For the Skeptics Guide, Rebecca Watson has been gone from the show for over a year and so should be removed. That is, unless the lists are meant to include past hosts as well as current. But in that case Perry DeAngelis MUST be includes as he was a founding member. RobP (talk) 02:22, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The list seems to include all past and pr sent hosts, so I just added Perry DeAngelis to the SGU hosts. RobP (talk) 23:03, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I was thinking the same, Rationally Speaking is hosted today by Julia Galef only. I would propose sorting names to keep the current hosts first; then the rest after some indication that these are past hosts. NavarroJ (talk) 08:53, 22 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Would The Infidel Guy podcasts qualify?[edit]

I haven't found a date yet for the earliest of Reginald Vaughn Finley, Sr.'s podcasts, but he was involved with internet radio pretty early (his site says 1999). Is this article intended to be a guide mostly to current podcasts or should there be entries from the early history of podcasting? — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 07:16, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

iTunes lists 5/11/2004 as the first one that they have I would use that https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/the-infidel-guy-show/id343687984?mt=2 Unconventional2 (talk · contribs · email) 20:33, 24 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Noteworthiness?[edit]

Above we see a stray comment about Notable (no reply posted). I submit this is a random list article with lots of un-sourced entries about non-WP:Notable and non-WP:Noteworthy podcasts. Also, WP is WP:NOTADIRECTORY. This being said, I propose to cull the list. Comments? – S. Rich (talk) 04:35, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
