Just curious, but when did he change his name to Max Vision? --71.206.5.36 (talk) 01:32, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

semantics issue[edit]

"which is the longest sentence ever given for hacking charges" - umm, if I read correctly, he also STOLE millions of dollars. I would imagine the heavy sentence was mainly for the STEALING part, not merely computer intrusion. Also, his evil background and violent prior had to weigh heavily on this sentence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.88.119.65 (talk) 19:17, 9 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I just finished reading Kingpin, and I don't think Max ever admitted to stealing money directly, e.g., using stolen credits cards to buy merchandise for resale, or ripping of ATMs. He merely supplied cards to others. Perhaps the charge of "spending $86 million in fraudulent purchases" refers to subsequent acts committed by others (e.g., Aragon), which Max is responsible for as he originally stole the cards used to make those purchases. --beefyt (talk) 02:33, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
