Marquis Flowers[edit]

Created/expanded by Buggie111 (talk). Self nom at 23:43, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

  • Hook is right length, neutral, reasonably interesting, and is supported by an inline citation that checks out. Article is long enough, new enough, and every non-lede paragraph has a citation. Spot checks indicate that citations (mostly) support claims, and no copyvios. QPQ lacked a direct link, but checks out. A minor suggestion: How about mentioning in the hook that he plays American Football, since this may not be evident to all readers. Also, there is an accuracy concern: The statement that he was recruited by Oregon is not supported by the citation, although it does say he was recruited by Oregon State. Otherwise, looks good to go. --Presearch (talk) 01:19, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

How'z it look? Buggie111 (talk) 02:20, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

  • Well, the Oregon error is corrected, so the only remaining concern is that many people may not know that this is referring to American football. Perhaps your ALT1 was intended to fix that problem. However, your ALT1 seems identical to the original hook, and still doesn't mention American football. Since I'm not sure whether this rises to the level of a problem in promoting the hook, I'll give an OK here, but I will also suggest another althernate (I'm also eliminating the unnecessary trailing elipses):
