Regarding page reviewer

Thank you to everyone who recommended I try out the New Page Reviewer right, however, I have opted not to make it permanent nor do I intend on returning to it for as long as this message is up. New page reviewing doesn't seem to make sense to me given all I've ever used it for (mostly) was page reviewing redirects following bad article attempts. Even that part of Wikipedia has given me a small amount of stress, and I've had to back away from disputes to avoid making that stress worse.

In short, it doesn't make sense to me to keep a user right if I know I'm not going to use it as frequently, especially given I might leave Wikipedia within the next few years. Jalen Folf (talk) 18:44, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I was coming here to leave a message to you regarding NPP, and saw this. Too bad, we could use quality folks over there, but I definitely understand about the stress. Thanks for all you do. Onel5969 TT me 15:21, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Short descs

Hello. Is there an important reason to match descriptors in name pages with the short descriptions of those articles? I feel like an edit like this (the short description part, not the long comment) reduces helpful information and so I wanted to know if there was a good reason. Or should I just change the short description of Dorothy von Beroldingen? AllTheUsernamesAreInUse (talk) 23:43, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Changing the short description to bring back said helpful information depends on whether the new text would be within the limits of WP:SDLENGTH. I will not be opposed to restoration of the helpful info if it can fit the length requirements. Additionally, templates like {{Anbl}} by default grab from this short description. Potentially helpful script

Hi, I know you fairly frequently add the long comment tag to pages in Special:ShortPages; I've recently written a little script over at User:Tollens/longCommenter.js to do so with a button rather than adding the template manually, in case you're interested. The button it adds is in the tools menu (same place as the move button, and only on article pages). As an unrelated aside, looks like you have a redlink in the editnotice for this page. The Arena League

My bad bro, didn't know seperate seasons were in there. Duluth also starts their season today(Preaseason/Exhibition against the Dallas Falcons), so that's why I made things current tense😅 Aj631314 (talk) 23:14, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oregon Blackbears

In all due respect, did you read yesterday’s (May 28) AFL press release? I included it as a reference with my article change. There is no better official source as the AFL themselves. https://www.theafl.com/news/arena-football-league-afl-appoints-new-president-c ” We are excited about what we plan to bring to the American public, this season and beyond.” Looking ahead, the AFL will continue to operate as a 9-team league, featuring the following teams: Albany Firebirds Billings Outlaws Nashville Kats Orlando Predators Salina Liberty SW Kansas Storm Washington Wolfpack West Texas Desert Hawks Wichita Regulators” No Blackbears mentioned. Not here or anywhere on the website except one scheduled game. They were listed among the teams last week. Heck, the VooDoo (June 13) and Force (June 22) have games still listed. This is probably the only announcement the AFL will make. After all, they were booted once, given a second chance, and then they failed to show up to a road game. They’re gone. @Straykat99: I just did. It was reposted to OurSportsCentral and reinserted by JMyrleFuller. I have no further opposition at this time. Jalen Folf (Bark[s]) 02:34, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
