Deletion of Zoocheck Page

The Page "Zoocheck" was deleted this January for the stated reason of copyright infringement. There was zero content that was copyrighted. Sorry for the delayed reply to the deletion, I do not check this Wiki account often. I can assure you there is no copyright infringement on either page, I am the executive director of Zoocheck Canada.

Another page was deleted but i can't find it in the log it was "Cormorants defenders international"

How is it that there was a request for speedy deletion for copyright infringement when there was no such issue? Could these please be reinstated? Thank you for your time and help on this, I greatly appreciate it. Roblaidlaw (talk) 20:50, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

The article was found by our copyright infringement bots to match a relative website on the Internet, which is against our policies. You could try recreating the article without such infringements and it should remain. — E TCB 23:31, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Wake up your bot

Please :-) He's taking his time at SSP. Thank you, E. ScarianCall me Pat! 18:34, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

The bot is archiving open cases for some reason. Enigma message 05:43, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Scarian, it scans and archives every 5 minutes and cannot be any lower due to the amount of time it gets through the first scan, it is almost ready to scan again. Enigma, it is a closed report FYI ;) — E TCB 06:48, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
You're right about that one, but there was a real problem yesterday. I had to manually archive a ton of cases that the bot wasn't archiving. I waited a bunch of hours, but nothing. This edit was the manual archive. All those cases had been closed at least 8 hours earlier. Enigma message 14:56, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Was there spacing beside the transclusion? (i.e. {{Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/XXuserXX}}<space>)? The bot does not like the space to the right of the transclusion, so you should be sure there is no space there, which sometimes can halt the archival process. — E TCB 23:28, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
No, and remember it wasn't just one case. It was a bunch of them. There's one now, I believe. Jean Girard 2. Enigma message 23:38, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
It looks to have archived those few reports successfully: Special:Contributions/EBot II. — E TCB 23:41, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
(ec)The current one was indeed archived. But to link again. [1] Look at all the cases that received the archive template and sat there for hours. Was the templating done wrong? Enigma message 23:43, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
{indent} The report needs to have {{SSPa}} transcluded and not subst'ed... not sure if that was the problem. — E TCB 23:58, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
it wasn't subst'd in those cases. oh well. hopefully it won't happen again Enigma message 00:08, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Doing... the processes are running now; your's should be coming shortly. — E TCB 22:43, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Bug in HBC Helperbot

class=mw-redirect. MaxSem(Han shot first!) 06:39, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

It appears that it's not just your instance that's affected: [2] Titoxd(?!? - cool stuff) 06:43, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
I'll notify the project coordinator, Krellis, by both talk page and mailing list who should be able to look into this. — E TCB 06:59, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure, but my bot just made an edit without the error, so it may just be related to the AIV page... I've notified the team otherwise. — E TCB 07:06, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
This alteration I made should fix it, but I am not in a position to test it: [3]. Chillum 15:40, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
If the above was implemented, it didn't work ;o) ➨ REDVERS is so happy in malice 19:42, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
I have made a change to the page that contains a copy of the source code. I have not gotten a response yet from any of the bot operators. I don't think it has been implemented yet. Chillum 20:35, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
You'll need to pass all code changes through Krellis before the new code is distributed for update in the series. — E TCB 20:44, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
I have sent a message to the bot maintainers mailing list, which I am a member of. Krellis is a very smart fellow well suited for testing this minor modification. Chillum 20:46, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Bot 7 is running the updated version of the source. I'll keep a close eye on it and revert if it causes any unforeseen errors. Will (aka Wimt) 20:56, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Doing... Updating my code now. — E TCB 20:57, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Done. Please block my instance if it does malfunction, I'm off to work now. Good luck to the bots! — E TCB 21:02, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Oops, this change was also needed, it needs to work in either situations. The previous state will reverse the malfunction. This should work. Sorry about that. Chillum 21:05, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, the previous change was causing a few errors, but I'm now running that fixed version. Cheers. Will (aka Wimt) 22:04, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
This might be a known issue, but just a sitrep - edit summaries are omitting blocking admin's names again, as in "(Empty. rm 71.191.50.218 (blocked 31 hours by User: (AO ACB)).)" Tan ǀ 39 23:57, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
I got Luna to redirect his userpage, and this edit seems to show it working. I think it is safe to all upgrade now, and raise the required version. Chillum 04:00, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Additional error in HBC AIV helperbot5

I've been seeing diffs like this for a couple hours, though I'm not sure how long it's been going on. Any idea what might be causing it? GlassCobra 02:59, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Currently only bot 7 is running the updated code, but once the others upgrade that sort of thing should be fixed. Chillum 04:01, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
Done, HBC AIV helperbot5's code has been updated and is now running. — E TCB 05:32, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

WP:SSP

Re this - you're right, but where was it this morning? The sub-page was marked for archive 5 hours before I manually archived it. SSP is generally crowded enough at the best of times, although it does seem to be better recently, so I figured the best thing to do was to manually archive it...since the bot was still in bed, and all...! ;-) GbT/c 20:48, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Time for another barnstar, I think

The da Vinci Barnstar
As someone who has virtually no programming skills of my own, I respect you guys who think up these useful bots to do some of the tedious work. I keep seeing your bots running around being helpful, so I thought you needed a barnstar.--Kubigula (talk) 04:13, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. It's much appreciated :) — E TCB 06:02, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

What's wrong with EBot II?

EBot II doesn't seem to be archiving right now... Soxπed93(blag) 02:17, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Doing... looking into the problem now. — E TCB 03:53, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Fixed Looks to be the same problem as usual... See Wikipedia talk:Suspected sock puppets/Archive 1#Why the bot doesn't archive sometimes.... — E TCB 03:58, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Haq Movement

Hi James, I saw in the history of this page, that you had semi-pp'd it awhile back. I was wondering you would do that again, and/or block the anons who have been removing the same sourced content with absolutely no discussion or discernable reason. Thanks a bunch. Carl.bunderson (talk) 20:14, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi Carl. I've Semi-protected the page again indefinitely, lets try and get some consensus out of them! — E TCB 03:53, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for restoring this. I got an Internal error message, and didn't see it had actually been deleted. Cheers Kevin (talk) 09:15, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
