A tag has been placed on Sam Pecqueur requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Article titles[edit]

Hi. Please take a look at WP:NCPDAB. There's more info in the second-to-last paragraph, which starts "Years of birth and death are not normally used as disambiguators ..." Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:18, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

-- Thanks for this information, I did not know this. However I think in the majority of sports situations birth year is used as players can end up playing for multiple teams. I suppose they can be moved at a later date though. User:Rugbyfan22 (talk 11:39, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Guy Porter (rugby union) moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Guy Porter (rugby union), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Brumbies[edit]

Hi Rugyfan22, G'day. Thank you for creating Brumbies articles however at the current stage they do not pass the notability guidelies. For a page to be in the Wikipedia mainspace, the subject need to be notable and secondly, the content claimed need to be supported by significant coverage from independent, reliable sources such as from newspapers and books. Home page, club page, user generated sties, press releases, interview, sites associated with the subjects and etc are considered not independent and / or not reliable, secondly "A player who signs for a team in a fully professional rugby competition but has not played in any games is not deemed to have participated in a competition, and is therefore not generally regarded as being notable" - please see - WP:NRU. thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 12:54, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @CASSIOPEIA:, All these players have represented teams in the National Rugby Championship which is a professional rugby league, henceforth they qualify as notable under WP:NRU. I will look to add some more sources to these pages though. Thanks. Rugbyfan22 (alk) 13:07, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of 2020 Super Rugby season[edit]

Hello Rugbyfan22,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged 2020 Super Rugby season for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Disambiguation link notification for December 23[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2019–20 Southampton F.C. season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stamford Bridge (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
