Homemaker's helper[edit]

I was wondering if you are the one who wrote the HTML code for the site Homemaker's helper (in Arston.com). I somehow got the picture that you did. If you did, please let me know, because I have a couple of questions and comments. Ruff Bark away! 00:56, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, XRay! My comments/questions are as follows:

  1. First I think you did a great job with the style and flow of the page, the images, icons, etc. especially the Seasonal color theme. Did you make the theme automatically change with the seasons, or do you just update it when the weather changes? :) Also, do you have separate style sheets for the different seasons? If, so, can I have one?
  2. Did you intend the comments box to only be at the bottom of some of the articles, and not others? And how does it work?
  3. Also, I can't seem to get the "search" box to work.
  4. Oh, one more thing(sorry I'm so long winded): When you leave a comment on a talk page, Wikipedia says to leave your signature by using four tildes: ~~~~

What I was wondering about the comments was: Can everybody see it when someone posts a comment, or is E. the only one with access?

Also, I figured out the problem with your search engine. The form receives the user's query but doesn't send it anywhere. Take a look at the code I copied from the site:

<h3>	<form id="search_engine" method="post" action="" />
<input name="search_query" type="text" alt="Search" class="text" id="search_query" />
<input type="submit" name="search" tabindex="100" class="searchbutton" value="Search" />
</h3>

Note that the 'action' value is null.

Also, I'd be glad to help with any wiki (or otherwise) questions you have! Ruff Bark away! 19:17, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
