Image:St maurice statue.jpg[edit]

Deleted at wikipedia. Discussion there was as follows: Source of image appears in fact to be [1], which actually contains no grant of license. (Source given in image description is the homepage for the entire site, not the direct source.) TCC (talk) (contribs) 02:24, 22 August 2007 (UTC) :Delete. It can be easily replaced with a certainly free image. :MoritzB 22:35, 22 August 2007 (UTC) *The earliest use of this photo that I can find anywhere seems to be [2], which linked to the photo as early as March 9, 2000, though archive.org did not archive the image itself until 2006. I doubt either site is the origin of the photo. --- RockMFR 23:01, 22 August 2007 (UTC) *Commons has other images of the same statue, but they do not look like this image. So I agree the source indicated is probably the right one. If that's the case, then it does seem at best dubious. Deleted. Aha, the image is public, the licence is cc-by-sa, the attribution is missing, which is not licence-conform. The source information is negligent (a search didn't bring out the picture). The whole thing looks rather dubious. Cecil 13:36, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
