San Marino faced off against Saint Kitts and Nevis in a series of 2024 association football international friendly matches.[1]
Background[edit]
Prior to the matches, the Sammarinese national team had not won a match in nearly twenty years, and had not drawn a match in 15 months. Their most recent win came against Liechtenstein in 2004.[2] In the buildup to the match, there was much anticipation that one of these two matches could result in a victory for San Marino.[3][1][4]

The first match in the series kicked off at 21:45 local time on 20 March.[5] San Marino scored the first goal, with a penalty kick that was converted by Filippo Berardi. Despite the strong start, San Marino conceded two goals within the first half. The first goal was scored by Tyquan Terrell, with the second being scored by Andre Burley. Early in the second half, Harry Panayiotou scored the third goal for Saint Kitts and Nevis. The match ended 3–1.[6]
