The Cotillion Ballroom is the third largest concert venue in the Wichita, Kansas area. [3]It a special events facility that hosts concerts, dances, comedians, and stage shows. Many nationally known artists, preformers, and shows have hosted events at The Cotillion. The facility is also available to rent for banquets, corporate events, wedding receptions, trade shows, and private parties. The facility turned is over 50 years old, with it's opening event held on December 7, 1960. [4] It is a circular building with an 11,000 square foot floating maple hardwood dance floor and a neon lit band shell. Less notably, it was the scene of a violent riot in 2006. [5]
