These sponges are composed of an external wall sustained by large radiate [[Sponge spicule|spicules]]. There is no [[Choanosome|choanosomal]] skeleton. Leuclathrina is a genus of sponges belonging to the family Leucaltidae.[1] Species are found in the northeast Atlantic.

Description

These sponges are composed of an external wall sustained by large radiate spicules. There is no choanosomal skeleton. The aquiferous system is composed of a mass of flagellated chambers and water canals.[2]
