Boris Konstantinovich Vainshtein (1921 – 1996) is a Russian crystallographer. He has lead the Laboratory of Protein Crystallography of the Institute of Crystallography, Russian Academy of Sciences, and have been the director of the Institute, where he spent the majority of his career.[1][2]

Vainshtein studied at the Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Institute of Steel.
