Epimerox is an experimental broad-spectrum antibiotic being developed by Rockefeller University and Astex Pharmaceuticals. Alsthough it was originally developed specifically to target Bacillus anthracis, they claim that it is also effective against MRSA,[1] and many other bacteria.[2] It is an inhibitor compound that blocks the creation of 2-epimerase, an epimerase enzyme.[3][4]
