Ö till ö
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ö till ö (Swedish for "Island to island") is a one-day multisport (aquathlon or triathlon) race in the archipelago of Stockholm, Sweden. The aim of the race is to get from Sandhamn to Utö, via 20 other islands, by running across them and swimming between them. In 2008-2009, a 17 kilometer bicycling distance was also included in the race. In 2010 the running part is about 54 kilometers, more than previoius years, since the bicycling part was removed. The largest islands to run across are Runmarö, Nämdö and Ornö. The swimming is about 10 kilometers in 2010 divided in 17 legs, of which the 1.65 kilometer swim between Sandhamn and Vindalsö is the longest.
