1743 Schmidt (4109 P-L) is a Main-belt asteroid that was discovered on September 24, 1960 at Palomar by C.J. van Houten, Lewis Daly and Bernhard Schmidt (whom it was named after). It was the first asteroid to be co-discovered by three people.[1]
