The 2016 Copa Venezuela is the 47th edition of the competition. It began with the First Round on 28 June 2016, and concluded with the final on 19 October 2016. The winner will qualify for the 2017 Copa Sudamericana.[1]
Venezuelan Primera División side Deportivo La Guaira were the defending champions after they beat Deportivo Lara 1–0 on aggregate in the previous final in October 2015,[2] but they were eliminated by Universidad Central in the second round. Zulia won the competition after defeating Estudiantes de Caracas 2–0 on aggregate score in the final.
