Abram de Swaan

Abram de Swaan (born January 8, 1942, Amsterdam) is a Dutch essayist, sociologist and professor emeritus from the University of Amsterdam. He received the P. C. Hooft Award for 2008.[1]

In 1996 he became member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences.[2]
