Andrew Turner and his wife Sharon joined the board of Norwich City F.C. on 8 May 2007.


The couple own personal finance company CT Capital PLC which was set up in 1987 and became one of the UK's fastest growing companies.[1]

CT Capital PLC was founded in 1987 and was previously known as Central Trust PLC. CT Capital is a consumer finance company, staffed by c.400 people and offers a wide range of financial products and services to clients through eight different independent companies, each specialising in a specific product or service. All the companies operate in the financial services sector, providing financial solutions to UK clients.

Andrew Turner is CT Capital’s Executive Chairman and Sharon is a Non-Executive Director on the Board. Andrew has been included in Management Today’s list of Britain’s top 100 entrepreneurs on five occasions and CT Capital has appeared in numerous listings of the fastest growing companies, including those produced by The Sunday Times, The Independent, Business Week and Real Business.[2]

CT Capital is based in Norwich, but also has main office locations in Watford and Redditch. It manages its investments through a board and a small support team based at Norwich.


The company holds majority shares and invests in the following group companies:[3] Turnkey Mortgages Limited – This is a Norwich based residential mortgage brokerage business, providing mortgage and insurance services to house purchase and remortgage clients;[4]

Commercial Trust Limited – This is a Norwich based commercial mortgage brokerage, providing buy to let, bridging and commercial mortgage product services to professional clients;[5]

Central Trust Limited – This is a Watford based consumer lending company providing second charge loans to UK homeowner clients;[6]

Loan Trust Limited – This is a Watford based consumer lending company providing unsecured loans to UK homeowner clients;[7]

Central Loans Limited – This is a Watford based loan brokerage providing secured and unsecured loans to UK homeowner clients;[8]

UK Credit Limited – This is a Norwich based consumer lending business providing unsecured loans to UK homeowners and tenant clients secured by a guarantee typically provided by a friend or relative;[9]

Smartloan Limited – This is a Norwich based unsecured instalment loans company providing short term personal loans to homeowner and tenant clients;[10]

Mobile Money Limited – This is a Redditch based log book loans lender providing short term loans to clients who are car owners. It has a network of 30 branches across England and Wales.[11]

The company also manages a number of companies with loan and insurance books in run off. These include Central General Limited, Central Life Limited, Central Lending Servicing Limited and Central Homeloans Limited.[12]

Norwich City[edit]

The couple joined the Norwich City board when they acquired Barry Skipper's 5000 shares. Their first action was to loan the club £2 million to cover an expected cash shortfall, meaning City were not forced to sell players to balance the books. [13]


Andrew and Sharon have been married a number of years and enjoy life in Norfolk. Both maintain an active interest in the local community and Sharon is the Chair of Governors for a local school. Both work and contribute regularly to select local charity projects, as well as the Prince’s Trust.

Andrew holds dual membership of the CIMA and ACCA,[14] and also has an MBA from City University. Sharon holds membership of the CIMA.
