Australia–Kenya relations
Australia–Kenya relations refer to bilateral relations between Australia and Kenya. Australia maintains an Australian High Commission in Kenya in Nairobi, and Kenya maintains a High Commission for the Republic of Kenya in Canberra.[1] The High Commissioner to Kenya also has responsibilities for Burundi, Rwanda, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda. The bilateral relationship has consisted of close cooperation as former British colonies in the Commonwealth and as well members of the Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation.[2] Foreign Minister Sam Ongeri held discussions with Australian High Commissioner to Kenya, Geoff Tooth in May 2012.[3]
