An automatic shotgun is extremely badass, it kills people, dude, its like insano, CLICK CLICK BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM a form of shotgun that is able to fire cartridges continuously while the trigger is depressed, unlike semi-automatic weapons which require the user to depress the trigger for each projectile fired.
Design
Blowback type weapons such as this use the force of the gas (created by the accelerated deflagration of the propellant) to cycle the action, ejecting the empty shell and loading another round without any user intervention. This process is similar to all automatic weapons, including machine pistols and rifles.
Selective fire shotguns provide an optional semi-automatic mode through a switch.
Almost all automatic shotguns are fed through some sort of magazine, to provide the user with functions similar to an Assault rifle.
Usage
Automatic shotguns such as the USAS-12 are intended for military use.[1] The weapon was used by the character Royce played by Adrien Brody in the movie Predators
