Baahubali: The Lost Legends is an Indian animated television series that is a part of the Baahubali franchise, produced by Arka Media Works and Graphic India.[3] The series revolves around the young princes Amarendra Baahubali and Bhallaladeva in the Mahishmati kingdom. The series is set before the incidents happened in Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.[4] Its episodes air on every friday on Amazon Prime Video.[3]

The series is set before the Kalakeya invasion that is present in the film Baahubali: The Beginning, rather, both Amarendra Baahubali and Bhallaladeva both are still young princes of Mahishmati. Both princes compete to become better warriors than each other and to rule the throne of Mahishmati.[4]

Plot

Young princes Baahubali and Bhallaldeva wants to become warriors as quickly as possible. They are much confident and even practices with soldiers. Baahubali also plays pranks on soldiers for their test. On the other hand, Bijjaladeva gives advises to Bhallaldeva about how to overtake Baahubali and become the king. Later they along with other princes are ordered by Rajmata Shivagami to learn and improve fighting skills from Pradhan Guru, a strict teacher. He improves their fighting and thinking skills with his tough teaching.

Characters

Amarendra Baahubali

It is voiced by Viraj Adhav in Hindi and English versions. He is a young prince of Mahishmati kingdom and the son of former king Vikramadeva. He is a great sharp minded warrior and has a kind heart too. He has leadership qualities. He along with his elder cousin brother Bhallaldeva competes to become the next king.

Bhallaldeva

He is another young prince of Mahishmati kingdom. He is the son of Rajmata Shivagami Devi and Bijjaladeva. He is also a great warrior but a selfish too. He only wants to become the king and can do anything for this.

Shivagami

It is voiced by Manini Mishra in Hindi and English versions. She is the mother of Bhallaldeva and wife of Bijjaladeva. She loves Baahubali more than her own son. She is ruling over the kingdom after Vikramadeva's death, but never occupies the Throne.

Kattappa

It is voiced by Samay Raj Thakkar in Hindi and English versions. Kattappa is a skilled warrior and a loyal slave to the Mahishmati kingdom. He always saves the kingdom and its people from any trouble.

Bijjaladeva

He is the father of Bhallaldeva and husband of Shivagami. He is much selfish and always disguides his son.

Pradhan Guru

It is voiced by Vinod Kulkarni in Hindi and English versions. He is royal Guru who is even more strong than Kattappa. He teaches and trains Baaahubali, Bhallaladeva and other princes and tries to make them stronger and disciplined.

Broadcast

The first episode premiered on 19 April 2017 and the other episodes started streaming from 19 May onwards with a new episode releasing every Friday.[5] Colors TV acquired the television rights of the series and will air the series after it ends its original run on Amazon Prime.[6]
