Robert "Benny" Young (born 14 August 1949) is a Scottish film, television and stage actor.

He was born in Glasgow, Scotland. Young trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow.

He has appeared in films including Chariots of Fire (1981), Out of Africa (1985) and Funny Man (1994). In 2009,[1] Young toured with the National Theatre of Scotland production Be Near Me.[2]

In 2013 Young performed in the West End production of The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui at The Duchess Theatre. [3]
