Bratislav Ristić (Serbian Cyrillic: Братислав Ристић ; born 21 January 1980 in Niš) is a Serbian footballer who currently plays for Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer.
Career
Club career
At the age of 10, Ristić started attending a football school for youngsters, in FK Radnički Niš. At the age of 16, the head coach of FK Radnički noticed his talent and desire to improve his skills and transferred him into the First Team. In that time, FK Radnički played in the Serbian Superliga.
At the age of 18, Ristić left Serbia and started playing for Club Brugge K.V., with whom he was a Belgian First Division Champion in 2003 and won the 2002 Belgian Cup. In the first 6 months, Bratislav played for the Second Team, and immediately after that (1998) he started playing for the First Team of Club Brugge.
He also played for FC Metalurh Donetsk (2003–06), with whom he received a medal for finishing in Third Place in the Ukrainian Premier League in the 2004/05 season. During the 2005/06 season Ristić finished as the top Goal Assistant in the Premier League with 19 assists. While with FC Metalurh Donetsk he appeared in 70 premier league matches and scored 1 goal.
During his time with Metalurh Donetsk he was sent on loan to Spain to play for Málaga CF (2006–2007). Once his contract with Metalurh Donetsk concluded he joined Russian football club FC Kuban Krasnodar in 2008. While in Russia Ristić appeared in 15 league matches as his club finished second in the Russian First Division.
In February 2009 Ristić relocated to Bulgaria, signing a contract with Slavia Sofia. After a brief stay with Slavia Sofia Ristić returned to Serbia with Rad Beograd. In his first season back in Serbia Ristić was a regular starter for the club appearing in 24 league matches as he helped Rad to an eighth place finish in the 2009–10 Serbian SuperLiga.
Following the conclusion of the Serbian SuperLiga season Ristić once again relocated joining Chicago Fire SC in Major League Soccer.
International career
In 1998 Ristić was selected to play for the National Team of Serbia, at the Under-18 level. He played 10 matches for the U-18 National Team.
