Calhoun High School is a public high school located in Port Lavaca, Texas and is part of the Calhoun County Independent School District. It came into being when all of the county schools were consolidated in 1948.[3] The present school was built in the 1960s when the former high school, now Travis Middle School, became overcrowded. In 2011, the school was rated "Academically Acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[4]
