Candy Brown (also known as Candy Ann Brown; born August 19, 1958)[1][2] is an American dancer,[3] choreographer and theatre, film and television actress.[2]

Brown is known for originating the role of June in the 1975 Bob Fosse directed Broadway musical Chicago,[4] and for such films, television series and stage productions as the original cast of A Chorus Line[5] and Pippin,[6] Zebrahead,[2] Ali, Six Feet Under, Sister, Sister, Nash Bridges and NYPD Blue.

Brown also performed on the Broadway stage in Purlie with Cleavon Little and Sherman Hemsley[citation needed] and in the West Coast premiere of the play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf.[citation needed] Candy Brown currently teaches movement at Denver School of the Arts for the theatre department
