Canton is a small unincorporated town in Jackson County, Iowa in the United States. It is located near the west county line, near the border of Jones County on the Maquoketa Caves Road where the road crosses the South Fork of the Maquoketa River.
The town once had a population of approximately 2,000 people, but when the railroad bypassed Canton in favor of the city of Maquoketa, the population plummeted.
