The Carolina Graduate School of Divinity is a fully accredited, trans-denominational, evangelical seminary in Greensboro, North Carolina. As of 2011, the school had 50 students, 9 faculty members, and offers M.A. and M.Div. degrees in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Ministry as well as the Doctor of Ministry degree.[1] The Graduate School is positioned to provide graduate theological education for men and women from varying evangelical backgrounds in the Piedmont Triad region of NC.
The mission of Carolina Grad is to cooperate with the Holy Spirit as he forms students spiritually, intellectually, and vocationally to shepherd God’s people with integrity of heart and lead them with skillful hands (Psalm 78:70-72). In pursuit of its mission, Carolina Grad is committed to the following purposes:
Exploring life in the Spirit. Equipping students with the tools they need to interact with biblical and theological literature. Enhancing the ministry skills of those God has called to shepherd his people in the twenty-first century.
Campuses
Carolina Graduate School of Divinity is located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Courses are also taught at Randolph Community College in Asheboro, North Carolina, as part of the University Center of Randolph County and at River Oaks Community Church in Clemmons, North Carolina.
Accreditation
Carolina Graduate School of Divinity is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada.[2]
Degree Programs
Carolina Graduate School of Divinity offers four degree programs: Master of Arts in Ministry (48 semester hours), Master of Arts in Biblical Studies (48 semester hours), Master of Divinity (84 semester hours), and Doctor of Ministry (30 semester hours).[3] The Doctor of Ministry program uniquely involves both resident professors who teach required modules and visiting professors who teach elective courses. Visiting professors in the D.Min. program include the likes of world-class scholars such as Douglas Moo, William Mounce, Kent Hughes, Walter Kaiser Jr., Peter Davids, John Oswalt, Ben Witherington III, Andreas Kostenberger, and others.
