This category is for musical conductors who died while conducting. As with Category:Musicians who died on stage, it should not be interpreted over-literally. It can include conductors who left or were taken from the podium after becoming ill, and died shortly afterwards, either backstage or in a hospital. It can also include those who died backstage during a scheduled interval (e.g. between acts of an opera).
