Category:National Association of Professional Base Ball Players members by team

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Players for member clubs of the National Association of Professional Base Ball Players, the "National Association" or "NA" baseball league, 1871–1875. All these players are commonly considered "major leaguers" although Major League Baseball does not recognize the NA as a major league.

The subcategories correspond to 24 clubs who entered at least one of the five NA seasons. Many sources distinguish 25 including Washington Nationals (NA) separately in 1872 and 1875.

Six NA clubs founded the National League in 1876 with two newcomers. Three of the six (based in Boston, Philadelphia, St. Louis) are represented by two overlapping categories for their players before and after 1875/76 and three are represented by one category of players spanning 1875/76 (Chicago, Hartford, New York).
