The Order of the Arrow (OA) is the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America, composed of Scouts and Scouters who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. It uses imagery commonly associated with American Indian cultures for its self-invented ceremonies, which give recognition for leadership qualities, camping skills, and other scouting ideals. Native Americans have criticized these ceremonies as cultural appropriation based on stereotypes of Indians.
