A panel truck is a motorized cargo vehicle with a fully enclosed rear, typically based on a pickup truck chassis, giving cargo carrying capabilities like a van. Passenger versions of these trucks, with more rows of seats and windows, were called carryalls and later evolved into the development of SUVs.
