This is an administration category. It is used for administration of the Wikipedia project and is not part of the encyclopedia. It contains pages that are not articles, or it groups articles by status rather than content. Do not include this category in content categories.
This is a container category. Due to its scope, it should contain only subcategories. This is a hidden category. It is not shown on its member pages, unless the corresponding user preference is set. This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. Pages are added to tracking categories through templates. |
Categories that contain too many pages, and require attention to reduce their size, are listed here. If suitable subcategories do not exist, they should be created; pages should then be re-categorized as appropriate.
Use {{Very large}} to add a category here. If a category requires constant maintenance, rather than a one-time recategorization, use {{Category diffuse}} instead. Some categories intentionally contain many pages, such as categories populated by certain templates; these categories do not need to be tagged.
