Category:WPSHIPS: sclass and sclass2 errors

This is a tracking category. It is used to build and maintain lists of pages—primarily for the sake of the lists themselves and their use in article and category maintenance. The templates can detect certain malformed transclusions and emit these error messages:

• missing required parameter: class name – the first positional parameter
• missing required parameter: ship type – the second positional parameter
• invalid format code: <code>. Should be 0–5, or blank

  Valid format codes are:

  • 0 – adjectival form → Valiant-class
  • 1 – single link form → Valiant-class harbor tug
  • 2 – ship type not linked → Valiant-class harbor tug
  • 3 – separate class name and ship type links; same as <blank> format code → Valiant-class harbor tug
  • 4 – noun form → Valiant class
  • 5 – class name without 'class' annotation and ship type → Valiant
  • <blank> – defaul; same as format code 3 → Valiant-class harbor tug
