There seem something to be wrong. Maybe, American and german language and name construction is different - there must be a mistake in the algorythm´.
E.g., Bernd Dreher's Family Name for sorting order is DREHER, so it must be possible to reference him as "Dreher, Bernd", as it usual in Germany and with German names. No one in Germany has the idea to look in the letter B for Bernd Dreher.
If he were an American, would live in America or had an American passwprt, then I think it could & would be possibly right, but...my English language and knowledge of foreign languages' sorting order and conventions is too low. -- de:FotoFux
