Rename[edit]

@Albertatiran, I have noticed that you're also interested in the Alid-related articles. So, I thought you're best to whom i could discuss this idea.

The term "Hashemite" is only used for the royal house of Jordan, the Hashemites. The other descendants of Bani Hashim should better known as "Hashimids" (to distinguish themselves with the Jordanian house). What's your opinion of this? please mention. Thanks. Also, the spelling of the name "Hashim" as "Hashem" is incorrect. - AlidPedian (talk) 13:10, 23 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi AlidPedian, the standard Arabic transliteration of 'هاشم' is indeed 'Hashim', as you noted. So, the anglicization of 'Banu Hashim' is 'Hashimids' or 'Hashimites', according to the Banu Hashim article. Both options are acceptable, I suppose. If you prefer 'Hashimids' over 'Hashimites', that's fine with me too, of course. Albertatiran (talk) 11:55, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can you help me to rename the category, as i am new on Wikipedia. AlidPedian (talk) 12:27, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
