Wanted: Grand Cross of State[edit]

According to our article on Mariano Rampolla, that cardinal's expected election to the papacy in 1903 was thwarted by a veto by the Austrian Emperor Francis Joseph, through the Polish cardinal Jan Puzyna de Kosielsko, who was later awarded the highest Austro-Hungarian decoration, the Grand Cross of State, red-linked at this date. Looking into it. The odd thing is that the receipt of this honour is not listed in Jan Puzyna de Kosielsko's own article. To my limited knowledge and a quick look at a few references, there does not seem to be an order/award called the Grand Cross of State. I will dig around and see what I can find. I'm glad you cleared that up. J S Ayer (talk) 17:56, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
