Please leave out status discussion / qualifiers[edit]

For all of these stubs, let us try to leave out a qualifier or discussion of status of Transnistria. By that, I mean that we should tell people where Transnistria is located, or what it is (a region, a state, a country), or any qualifiers such as "breakaway state", "unrecognized country", "separatist region", etc etc.

Rather, if we simply wikilink Transnistria then anyone who wants to find out what Transnistria is can click on the link and go to the main article for Transnistria. The article has ample information + deeper links to things like the history of the place and even an article on the disputed status of Transnistria.

The best way to handle this, and most neutral, is to just write the name and nothing more. This is also how other country- and regional stubs are done (including the regional stub categories under Spain, for instance). Note also, for the record, that the Transnistria stub is currently listed as a subcat under Moldova stub, main. - Mauco 04:16, 1 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
