Cell type

Cell types)
A cell type is a distinct morphological or functional form of cell. When a cell switches state from one cell type to another, it undergoes cellular differentiation. A list of distinct cell types in the adult human body may include several hundred distinct types.[1][2] These are the different cell types in the multicellular organism.
Another way to classify cells into types is according to their basic morphology: prokaryotic and eukaryotic.
Classification cells into the cell types changes with time, just like the taxonomic classification of organisms.
