Chaerilus is a genus of scorpions, the only genus in the monotypic family Chaerilidae.[1] They live in tropical parts of South Asia and Southeast Asia.[2] A fossil genus Electrochaerilus is known from the Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian) aged Burmese amber.
