Plums in chocolate (Polish: Sliwka w czekoladzie, also known as prunes in chocolate) are a kind of sweet; chocolate with an entire dried plum as a filling.

A typical Polish sweet[1][2] or delicacy, widespread during Polska Rzeczpospolita Ludowa (People's Republic of Poland) times in Poland and still produced widely.[citation needed] The best-known plum in chocolate in Poland, produced for more than 50 years, is Śliwka nałęczowska w czekoladzie, the main product of Firma Cukiernicza „Solidarność – rok założenia 1952” from Lublin, Poland.[citation needed]

Plums in chocolate are nowadays produced in Poland by a few companies and, like Krówki (fudge), they are one of the most popular kinds of polish sweets.[citation needed]


Variations

Plums and chocolate is also a dish in which cooked plums are covered with chocolate or chocolate cream.[3]
