Christian Reformed Church of Nigeria is a major Christian denomination. It has been founded in 1904.[1] The reason for its existence was Sudan United Mission (SUM)—British Branch.[1] Its headquarters is in or near Takum, Taraba State.[1] First established in Taraba State, it has now congregations throughout Nigeria including several urban centers.[2] It has more than 160,000 members. The church adheres to the Apostles Creed, Athanasian Creed, Nicene Creed, Canons of Dort, Heidelberg Catechism, Second Helvetic Confession and the Westminster Confession of Faith. It has Presbyterian church government with classes and Synods. [1] It has an Integrated Development Programme, which cooperates with Evangelischer Entwicklungsdienst of Germany.[3] It belongs to the Fellowship of Churches of Christ in Nigeria (Tarayyar Ekklisiyar Kristi a Nigeria, TEKAN) and the World Communion of Reformed Churches.[3][4]
